Quizzes¶
Every lesson ends with at least one knowledge check. They are collapsible: the question is visible, the answer is hidden.
Attempt before revealing
The value is in the attempt, not the answer. Retrieving something from memory — even unsuccessfully — strengthens it far more than reading the correct answer does. Opening the answer immediately feels efficient and teaches you almost nothing.
Where the quizzes are¶
There are 115 knowledge checks embedded across the migrated lessons, plus exercises with worked solutions in most lessons.
How to use them for revision¶
- First pass: answer as you read each lesson.
- Same evening: revisit the quizzes from that day without rereading the lesson.
- One week later: revisit again. What you get wrong on this pass is what you actually need to restudy — and it is usually not what you expected.
This is spaced retrieval, and it is one of the most reliably replicated findings in learning research. It feels harder than rereading, which is exactly why it works.
